Our Story

My name is Adolfo, and opening this place started as a dream I’ve had for a long time. After living in Cambodia for several years and witnessing firsthand the suffering of the street cat population, my girlfriend Georgia and I decided to go ahead and do something about it.

In 2019, Ministry of Cat was born.

Ministry of Cat is a labour of love with one mission in mind: to promote the adoption of cats rescued from the streets of Phnom Penh. Our cat cafe is designed to bring animal lovers together with cats in need of affection and ultimately, a forever home. 

Ministry of Cat is a relaxing space where you can enjoy your coffee or brunch while spending some quality time with our feline friends. If you fall in love with one (or two) of them, you can apply to adopt your favourite. 

All our cats come from our partner organization Animal Rescue Cambodia and are fully vaccinated, neutered, FIV negative, dewormed and deflead. When you adopt from Ministry of Cat, you will have the peace of mind that your new kitty is both happy and healthy!
